BioWare is re-releasing the very popular RPG Mass Effect with new media content, such as documentaries and design trailers, as well as the DLC called Bring Down the Sky. The game will also carry a budget-price.

BioWare's sci-fi RPG Mass Effect wasn't quite the epic space RPG everyone was hoping for when it dropped last year, but it looks like retailer Game Stop is looking to sweeten the pot. They've listed on their site a re-release of the game which will have an additional bonus disc.

I feel sorry for the guys that already own the game, unless they get the same benefits via the DLC.

I got the special edition, and it came with documentaries and design extras etc.

So no doubt this will be the same except for the dlc and a cheaper price. Its not really a rip off considering the game came out a while ago.

BTW vortis is this your site? I think you should cut down on the ad's. Its kinda pissing me off that after ever click you make a pop up appears, and a full screen one too.

Got the game for Christmas. Can't say the trailers and documentaries really interest me, and I already got the DLC. But this is a pretty good way to continue promotion for Mass Effect. Great game, highly recommend it.

I thought Mass Effect was actually pretty popular? It's a very good game, probably my favorite RPG out of all of the games I've played. This is quite a deal.

      Yeah, it was.

It was exactly what I was hoping for, and I was hoping for a lot.

Furthermore, it seems to me this is a boxed deal. In which case it's the publisher and developer who are offering up a sweeter deal. Not Gamestop who, in fact, will just be selling it.

Yeah, I was surprised by that line too. I don't know how it did saleswise but review-wise it was very well received.

I loved it and would consider this new release if there was any additional gameplay available.

i still havent got bring down the sky is it worth it? i am a huge mass effect fan and was on my 3rd playthrough but fallout 3 stopped it dead. this is a great deal for anyone that does not have mass effect yet. It is one of the best rpg's out there... lots of fun and a great story.

It was on sale over christmas and it's worth picking up.

Anyway Fallout 3 didn't beat this game for me. I liked the story much more in Mass Effect, also the communication was far better done in ME. IMO, Fallout 3 only really wins in gameplay. Side quests are pretty even though.

You're right there, they are even games in Side Quests but for the main story Mass Effect wins hands down as Fallout 3s main story is pretty weak.

I enjoyed the story well enough. I think the difference for me was scale. I felt like I would actually make a difference in Mass Effect, where DC is the only thing you can help or destroy in Fallout.
