An updated Sega classic game "OutRun Online Arcade" will be hitting PSN and XBLA in Japan and Europe, but not for Americans. Is this the fault of Microsoft and their money? Sega and their ignorance? Or Sony's lack of caring? Full story at source.
An updated Sega classic game "OutRun Online Arcade" will be hitting PSN and XBLA in Japan and Europe, but not for Americans. Only lucky Xbox 360 owners like myself will be able to enjoy this title, I find this amusing and in a way sad. I can understand the exclusive games for a system, this allows the developers to focus on just one consoles architecture and thus make the best game for that system possible.
After discussing the topic of exclusive DLC just last week in reference to games like Fallout 3, Tomb Raider, and Grand Theft Auto IV, the line between exclusivity being a good or bad thing gets a little blurred.
Now, with an exclusive deal on a region... I have to wonder what is up, we only have three options to look at as to how this comes about:

Edit: A Moderator on NeoGAF is saying it is Sega (he contacted them) http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=14448587&postcount=115
Well at least us people in the Europe who own a 360 / PS3 will be able to enjoy the title.
For once Europe gets something good =d
Come on, seriously? All it means is like Slumpy said above. They have to secure rights for the different regions. Nothing more nothing less. How long that will take . . . I personally don't care because I don't have any desire for this thing. But to those who do care . . . I'd give it a couple months. Normally I'd say look for it in a couple years to never, but since other regions are getting it, chances are upped that it'll come soon enough.
I was actually stating that it's not a big deal as we (Aus) get a lot of things late or not at all.
I doubt that many people in America are actually going to be bothered by this event.
