Guitar Hero: Metallica Official Tracklist - It's Good... Really Good (w/YouTube links)

The official full tracklist for Guitar Hero: Metallica is out. Go to source to see the full list plus a youtube video link for every song in the game.

So the tracklist for Guitar Hero Metallica is upon us. I am going back on my past words about this game being "meh".. it is looking quite solid. Unlike the Guitar Hero Aerosmith game, well over half the Metallica tracks are good ones, and nearly every single one of the non-Metallica tracks are awesome. My only fear for the game now is it will have an annoying fretboard that distracts from the notes (as GH Aerosmith did), but so far it is looking really really good.

Tracklist below includes YouTube links to the videos (took me a while, you better appreciate it!). A couple of songs are repeats from past Guitar Hero/Rock Band games, so the videos include the previous charts of those songs. I separated the Metallica songs by album so you can see how smart the band was to go back to some of the better songs in their catalog).

    I wish they chose a different band other than Metallica. I just don't think I could buy an entire game with the majority of the songs being theirs. They should just do Guitar Hero:BTBAM, although many people wouldn't know who they are, to have their 12 minute long songs would be fun to play through.

    I was looking really forward o this game but they are missing loads of my favourite songs.

    I Dissapear,Whisky in the Jar, Die Die my Darling, until it sleeps, Turn the page, carpe diem baby?

    even if some of them were just covers of other peoples songs then there is still no reason why they cant put them in.

    man they decided to put in the lesser favouite Metallica songs

      I am on the exact opposite page. Seeing the tracklist actually makes me want to play the game... but then again, I like them when they are doing metal more than hard rock. (Turn the Page is in there, the original version at least).


      I'd keep an eye out on Rock Band downloadable content, as Harmonix still has about 20 songs already licensed out for Metallica, and if they are smart, they would release them sometime around this Guitar Hero game.

        Personally Jaseyboy you have to think on the bahalf of Downloadable Content, they have loads of songs in this game but no doubt they have the entire discography by Metallica that could be up to download after this song ships. So essentially if they played it right most of Metallicas best songs are there and the lesser known or the songs from the sell out era most Metallica fans hate will be DLC, the one song i am missing is ...And Justice For All as that song would be insane to play on Guitar Hero.

    They already have a ton of their songs as DLC, that's why some favorites aren't included. You have to DL them.

      It's really only the Death Magnetic album that is DLC, no earlier material.

      Rock Band had some too (Ride the Lightning, Blackened, And Justice for All)

    I can't believe they didn't put "Ride the Lightning" on there. Thats got to be one of the more intense Metallica tracks. Thank god for Rock Band.

    Thats one hell of a setlist. I'm curious how they're gonna pan all them out seeing 75% of those tracks are blistering.

    I'm also surprised that some of the more recognizable tracks aren't on there like, "Ride the Lightning", "And Justice For All", "Blackened", "Unforgiven II" (great vocals here, btw), "Lepper Messiah" (wtf!?), "My Friend of Misery", "Until it Sleeps", "The House That Jack Built"...quite a list. I realize they couldn't put every thing in the game, but some songs like "No Leaf Clover" and especially "Frantic" could have been left out to include some better tracks. Seriously, "My Friend of Misery" would have been awesome on all 4 instruments.

    I'm not getting it since I'm still holding out for a second DLC pack on Rock Band...that and I don't wanna keep wasting my money every six months on music games. I'm getting my Ion drums this month. I can't afford another music game for a while...not until The Beatles come out.

      Damn you reaver! I want those f'n Ion Drums sooooooooo bad.

      I will rent (not buy) this GH Metallica day one, but yeah, im just waiting for the Metallica DLC on Rock Band as well, that I will gobble up easy.

      I am quite jealous of this getting a good Mastodon track rather than the poo poo one that was included on RB2.

    I'm probably not going to get the game since I'm not really Metallica's biggest fan, but I do find it odd that Ride the Lightning isn't in the game what with it being the catchphrase at the end of the trailers...

      Machine Head is always a good thing. I would think they would do Davidian, but Beautiful Mourning is a great track.

    Loving the list personally. I'm getting RB2 fairly soon too, so whatever isn't here I'll get as DLC for that.
