PS3 Won't Be Receiving Section 8

Gamecock originally announced Section 8 as a multiplatform title, spanning the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. After a mix-up with the press releases and some misinformation about the game's release, it was eventually discovered that the PS3 wasn't going to be receiving Section 8.

As you may have read in the previous article, it appeared that it was only going to be available for PC from here on out. However, a little mishap in the press circuit may have caused gamers (and reporters) to become misinformed.

    With the likes of Uncharted 2, GOW3 and KZ2 on the way, I could care less. Besides, didn't even know what this was to begin with.

      I'd have to disagree there. Not enough is known about it for some people to care. Hell, we could lose FF13 and have it become a 360 exclusive and even though there would be a mass suicide on the internet I, personally, wouldn't give two shits.

      So I don't think it's so surprising some people don't care since they knew nothing and cared nothing about the game to begin with.

    Hey it could be great. I'm just saying the PS3 has enough good exclusive titles coming for me to be concerned. Besides, if it's not coming to the only next-gen console I own, why be bothered?

    Section 8 doesn't look like a winner, especially fighting it toe-to-toe with God of War III, inFamous, White Knight Chronicles etc.

    Section 8, a 'first person shooter set in futuristic universe'... I don't think toe-to-toe is the right word when talking about a mythical action adventure game, a sandbox game, and an rpg.

    Hard to evaluate this personally because:

    1) Can get it regardless of what platform it ends up on.

    Section 8 looks incredibly mediorce at the moment, if it beats Halo 3 or Killzone sales i will eat my computer.

    imo every FPS these days needs its own niche to draw people to it, otherwise it becomes just like every other shooter out there (ex: Haze). From the looks of it thus far it's just an ordinary shooter. The only thing I liked about the trailer was his helmet, that was cool
