A girl at the age of 11 was playing Animal Crossing & someone swore at her. She shows the mother and she gets banned from playing it. The girl must have been playing it on WiFi because I don't see how this sort of content can be in a 3+ plus game.

Schoolgirl Khloe Leslie was horrified when her favourite computer game took her to a vulgar new level – and called her a '*bleep**** cow'.

The 11-year-old was playing Animal Crossing on her Nintendo DS when one of the colourful animal characters swore at her.

Her mother Leeanne, 28, of Inverbervie, Angus, has now banned her from playing the game, which is branded suitable for children aged three and upwards.

There is no other way this could happen as a glitch. Im not saying she deserved this, But she could at least be aware of being online. Especially for her age she should look and be careful next time. Banning her from this game is unnecessary. The mother should check and see if she was online too. And tell her to stay off it.

Considering the workings of the game, here's my guess:

The character that swore at her was told to use the name by a person who had the character previously. (If you get to know the character well enough, you can type in a name and it will call you that.) The girl got the character over wifi, with the nickname still intact. When she talked to it, she heard it, and probably not knowing how everything worked, she blamed Nintendo.

They should have looked into it further. She doesn't have to stop playing the game because I'm sure it wasn't Nintendo's fault. I myself have gotten some... inappropriate things over wifi, and I know they weren't done by the hands of the company.

Same here. What happens is that there are people out there that can modify even more than what the character has to say. It wasn't the girl's fault, it was the other player's fault. I am sure.

        Exactly.
Still funny though. I bet this story would've been funnier if you didn't spill it to us though XD

If her mother got her the game she should've known about WiFi and the possible dangers of letting her kid play the game online. Oh well though; still freakin' funny!

That would be funny for Animal Crossing to swear at you. Just like watching Dora the Explorer saying "Get your hand out of your ass and tell me if the damn train is blue!"

    Still surprised me though.

Haha, that's so awesome. I'd like to know how this actually came to, though.

Classic. And to think that Animal Crossing is a child's game. I just have to laugh at the mother's extreme overreaction. It's just a classic example of people that refuse to do their research before buying something for their child.

And this is why I stay away from little kids. Because when I play with my friends. We swear at each other.

BWAHAHA! Awesome, that's just dumb how someone could go on wifi and not realise that some people (by some I mean most) swear...
    I swear... gotenks apparently swears...
