It was announced a while ago, that Seed Studios was working on a PS3 exclusive and today we get a glimps at their game. Its called Under Seige and is a RTS designed from the ground for the PS3.

Last month, Seed Studios teased us with a splash page website featuring the silhouettes of three characters for an upcoming PS3 exclusive called Under Siege. No details on the game were given at the time, but after a recent update to the website, we now have the first details on Under Siege as well as a first look at the game in pre-alpha stage.

"Under Siege features an original world, unique gameplay elements and a control scheme designed with a console controller in mind," Ribeiro said. "We are also working on implementing a large number of multiplayer and community features with special emphasis on user generated content."

Looks good, If they nail the controls like ensemble seems to be doing with Halo wars, then this could turn out to be a nice RTS.

Looks better than that storm rise anyway and this is pre-alpha stage.

It looks like a medieval or fantasy style RTS. They might be going the way of that LoTR RTS (whatever its name was). Hopefully they can get the controls right, as you mentioned. It's hard to get an RTS to work on a console.

You mean Battle for middle earth? Nah, That game was a LARGER ARMY>SMALLER ARMY, type game.

This game looks a bit more tacticle, as it looks like it uses single units instead of squad units, and the camera angle looks similar to Halo wars, so hopefully they will use similar controls.

I imagine that they'll implement mouse and keyboard support because it's going to be on the PS3. Of course, that's no reason for them to slack off on controls for the controller.

hmmm, Maybe they will intentionally leave k&m support out. As a way of saying "Our controls are so good, you don't need a mouse and keyboard"

I hope not, simply because I'm used to using mouse and keyboard with those types of games and I'm sure everyone else is too.

On the other hand, they could leave it out originally and add a patch later on, simply to show that they did focus on the controls instead of making them terrible and adding k&m support to "balance it out".

Looks decent. Possible purchase, depending on gameplay etc.

I had this almost certainly penned as a Diablo like hack and slasher, guess I was wrong.

Looks interesting, need more info first though.

Ok, I am a dork. When I first saw this I thought: "By Crom, NO! They are not doing a movie based on the Steven Seagall film!?!?!"

It looks a bit like Warcraft III, which was my favorite computer game of all time.

Looks amazing, and hopefully it will utilise the merits of the Sony Playstation console, and its keyboard/mouse support to deliver a strong title.

This excites me alot like Halo Wars. The RTS genre on consoles has been a rocky one..
