Aparently, new physics have been tweaked for this GTA game like when vehicles pass by, you can hear their radio on and new driving controls. More information was released such as no co-op when playing single player, but there will be other unknown multiplayer modes.

Also Dan Houser, VP of Creative for Rockstar Games, said that they don't plan to make a San Andreas for the PSP.

A lot of people have been clamoring for more details on Grand Theft Auto IV. Fortunately, Official PlayStation Magazine Australia has released some more tidbits on the game and they are quite interesting.

For those who saw the demo, Niko (the main character of the game) passes an ATM machine and the option to access his bank account appears. Now, no official word has been given on this yet, but the initial impression is that it will be possible.

The GTA IV physics engine has been tweaked as well which should allow you to actually hear "vehicles passing by with their radio turned on." Hmm, not bad at all. Speaking of driving, the controls have been "tremendously" tweaked and enhanced. They also gave other details on the game which are listed below.

Here are some of the other details on the game from GTA4.net:

When selecting a contact on your mobile phone, a list of several commands are made available to the player, such as "meet me here," etc.
Playing the single player game through co-operative mode is not possible, however there will be a co-op mode in addition to all the other unknown multiplayer modes.
According to Dan Houser, VP of Creative for Rockstar Games, they haven't yet figured out if GTA IV is going to spark off another set of GTA games connected to it, and they're currently just focusing on this single game. He does say he "would have a certain confidence" setting GTA outside the United States, such as England, in the future.
Amidst all the good news, we have a little bit of bad news for fans of San Andreas Stories. Houser said that there are no plans for a PSP version of the game. So, while a lot PSP owners will probably still be waiting for a PSP release, it's unlikely that it will be coming anytime soon.

We dont need San andreas for psp. And thats good to hear on the stuff thats tweaked. As we all know GTA was more on real life than anything. So im happy there making it as modern as they can. I have a question will this game be as big or bigger than San andreas.

Listen jerk, there is only one san andrea's and its for ps2, dont like tough. San andrea's using lots of space and memory that the UMD disc's cannot hold. UMD disc's holds about 1.8 gigs, the ps2 9 gigs. And besides, i wouldnt pass the idea, of them being able to download the original on to the psp. Just like most of the original think about.

Yeah, a lot of people are saying GTA:IV is gonna be bigger than San Andreas. I think I remember someone saying it is going to be the biggest GTA, though I'm not 100% sure if someone actually said that or not. Pretty interesting information, I'm glad to hear a lot of things have been tweaked. So far this game is sounding very promising.

Well let's just keep on hoping that GTA IV will be bigger than San Andreas. I always found it fun to just go exploring.

Yeah, I completely agree with you, it was quite fun driving around aimlessly in the previous Grand Theft Auto's and exploring the game, especially in San Andreas because it was bigger. Hopefully Grand Theft Auto IV will be bigger than San Andreas. I also hope that there are a lot of interesting things to go looking for in this game. Meh...... I'm not too worried really, from what I've heard and seen this game sounds like it's going to be great. Even if it's not perfect, it will definitely keep me occupied for a few month, haha.

The only problem with that is you need to open the other area's using the storyline. I wish everything was available except for the shops and stuff.

At least GTA IV gives you stuff to do when you're not doing missions. That pretty much killed the game for me, each time I finished a GTA, that was as far as I would go.

Actually, on one of the GTA4 articles, it says its gonna be smaller, and planes have been taken out due to it being modelled on New York. Also most of San Ans area was bad lands and desert, so it will turn out bigger as GTA is mostly city.
