It has been one week since the Resident Evil 5 demo was released on Xbox Live and already 1.8 million people have downloaded it. That's good news for Capcom!

Probably considerably more than that. I downloaded it too, but not off of LIVE. I'm sure I'm not alone there.

And I'm sure there was a good 1.8m people let down by the demo once played.. I sure as hell knew I was.

Right, because everyone thinks exactly like you.

I wasn't let down by it in the least, mainly because I didn't have such high expectations for the demo or game in the first place.

Well I at least think exactly like him, and I know quite a few other people who do as well. I didn't have any expectations for the demo really, but I was really unimpressed. The graphics, however, were quite good, IMO.

I thought the demo itself was amazing, you assuming that all 1.8m people were let down just like you is a bullshit opinion.

The only reason I wasn't let down was because I wasn't expecting much to begin with. I don't know if I even want this game anymore, and this is the first time I've felt this way about Resident Evil. Sad thing.

No they don't, but anyone who loved that must have been off there mind.. the gameplay (mainly shooting) was diabolical though I guess the graphics were nice :/

The gameplay was fantastic, wtf are you on about?

          Seriously, stop taking whatever it is your taking and then play the game ; ;

I didn't like the 'no strafing while aiming'. That annoyed me.

But i never played an RE game before so has it always been like that?

In the actual game you can change the settings so you can move whilst aiming.

Woah, really? That's pretty neat, though I wouldn't recommend it.

Yeah i'd rather shoot standing still, adds more supsense to the HOLY CRAP HES COMIN RIGHT FOR US!

Well if that is the case I think I might need to try again, the aiming was main reason I hated the demo xD. and the fact you seem to be limited on where you can run =[

Yeah, it's always been like that. Though in old RE games the zombies were slow as hell, so the player had an opportunity to easily kill them.

Now, they can run, and how! But I still prefer to have the ability to walk while shooting off.

People are just too used to arcade shooters, being able to run and shoot, this game is more aim and shoot. Yeah, the controls for the most part have always been quite clunky, but I guess that's because the zombies would really never get to you due to how slow they move otherwise.

Still, I don't mind those aspects of gameplay, I'm quite used to it over the years. Of course, the slow movement in this game doesn't help the pace of an action genre, which RE is now.

For all you people who want to shoot and move at the same time, I say you grow a pair (or a spine if you're a woman, but if you want to move and shoot you're probably a girl anyway) and deal with it.

Maybe we want different game mechanics.
I think you'll find in real life, when i would aim a gun i would be able to move while doing it. Not stop completely. If anything it's unrealistic stopping.

You're asking for more realism in an RE game? Wow.

I'm talking about gameplay when using guns.

would you quit telling everyone to deal with it? we are just used to shooters where you can move and shoot.

        Hey, that's my line!
Well, moving and shooting in the 'real world' is shit. You can't aim properly. When the World Wars were going on, guys were in trenches, they weren't running and gunning like Rambo or something...

But yeah, I understand the argument, too used to those arcade shooters, it's fine. See I like that we'd have to aim to shoot better in this series, because for one, it also makes it more challenging for those slow zombies. Another bit is that you only have so much ammo, you'd want to make sure that you get your target. Granted, the zombies in this game are pretty fast, and a good amount like to throw things, but meh, we've got Co-Op now.

Looks pretty good from what I've seen on tv.
