Electronic Theatre details the official confirmation of a North American and European release for Probe and SEGA's Wii exclusive Let's Tap, due in summer 2009.

SEGA of America, Inc. and SEGA Europe Ltd. have today announced Let's Tap, a game that is blazing new ground in Nintendo Wii control design. Developed by Prope, the studio that Sonic the Hedgehog creator Yuji Naka established in 2006, Let's Tap is the first product from the new studio to be released to in North America and Europe. Developed exclusively for Nintendo's Wii system, Let's Tap utilizes a ground-breaking control scheme where the Wii controller is placed on a box or flat surface so that the controller can detect minute vibrations.

    Sounds like a pile of crap to me ; ;

    Who the hell would want to tap a surface the wiimote is sitting on.

    I swear these gimmicky games get worse and worse.

      Personally, I can't decide if it's startlingly innovative or a quick cash-in. It'll probably end-up being a bit of both, and I'll buy it, play it for two days, then put in back in the box and leave it to look pretty on my shelf...

      There has been a good amount of favorable impressions for this game from the Japanese release back in December.

      I wouldn't worry too much.
