It's been said the Playstation 3 version of Pro Evolution Soccer will be three times better on the PS3. It will have an average frame rate of 60fps & will use 18GB of disc space.

supposed Konami insider has posted claims on a Korean games forum that the upcoming Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 will be noticeably better on PS3 than on 360.

The post, which appeared on Ruliweb (and translated here), claims that the PS3 version of everybody's favourite footy sim will receive huge enhancements afforded by the large capacity of the Blu-Ray format.

The game is said to use 18GB of space on the disc (Xbox 360's dual-layer DVDs offer 7GBs of usable storage space).

The post also claims that the PS3 version's 60fps frame-rate will better that of the 360.

We remain sceptical that the difference, if there is any, will be noticeable. Time will tell.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was. They just made a high-res version of PES6 for the 360 and took out most of the features lol.

Good stuff. That's another thing I can say to any of the PS3 doubters when they compare the two consoles. Cheers Konami

Im glad someone is actually taking full advantages of the ps3, but at the same time making it multi-platform. PES is easily the best football game, and with so much extra than the other consoles looks like it's going to be even better

This is why EA's comments are going to come back and bite them in the ass.

When they make such ignorant statements like they made with Army of Two public they only make themselves look even more like the untalented fools they are. Granted I think Army of Two looks very cool, they have some cool ideas, but it seems have a lot of trouble actually making an efficient game.

I'm not sure how a soccer game could take up 18GB of space, unless they do a terrible job with the coding.

30% of the PS3's HDD is too much to outlay for one game, I reckon.

It runs from the Blue-Ray disc, not the HDD, so what's the problem? It's not a PC and doesn't need games to be installed on it. It would be so lame if it did require that.

Cute, but quite honestly, no one gives a shit about PES in America.
