This is a good sign for Guerilla Games and Sony. Killzone has just reached 1.1 million pre-orders in EU, and it still as a little over 3 weeks before release. This means they are almost guaranteed 1.1 million sales in one day. And not mention it has reached number 2 spot on amazon.com a while ago.

European pre-orders for Killzone 2 have surpassed 1.1 million units.

"The 1.1m pre-orders are for Europe only and that's [as] of last week," Sony told us after the figure was reported in today's Guardian.

Effectively Killzone 2's already a million seller in Europe then, which isn't bad going, especially seeing as the game's £2 million marketing campaign has yet to get into gear.

Unfortunately from what I keep hearing, the game is sluggish and the shooting is flawed. Sony's biggest game is now up in the air for success.

Play the game for yourself and play it over a few times, this game has always been touted as different by developers and p/reviewers. Even videos show what the default gun control is like.

Its no where near flawed. Like blacklabel said, people are just trying their hardest to find something wrong with this game. Don't let them get to you.

Where did you hear that? It's been getting almost universally positive reviews on my calender, and listening to randoms on Neoseeker isn't exactly the best way to get an impression either, half the time one person voices a complaint and then the others copy them to seem cool.

Nice to see this will get good sales, considering all the money spent in its production its going to need it.

lol it's always "from what I hear." Judge for yourself. The controls are not as loose as most shooters, but that's what the options menu is for.

Stuff everyone elses opinion. Game looks worthy of a purchase despite my constant comtemplation of the title. Cannot wait to play.

The people that say it's sluggish are the ones that have only been playing only COD4 for the last year.

Exactly. Just because Killzone II is different doesn't mean it's inferior. I'm personally delighted that they took a different approach.

Always the downer. It's not sluggish. It's pretty close to war, not run and gun a la CoD/Halo. The cover system is pretty good, finally LEAN in a console game! I'd only criticize the voice acting. The weapons recoil a little too much, but to say it's flawed is wrong.
