It wouldn't surprise me if this were real. Square ENIX isn't dumb enough to pass up a money making opportunity like a remake of Final Fantasy VII. However, they do have a bad habit of pulling people's legs.

Why do they have to keep making tempting games for the PS3? I don't want to shell out $600+ Suppose I'll have no choice once this and FFXIII comes out.

Hey you do realize this will be exclusive and will make the ps3 the best selling system of all time. So yea its very much needed. And hell by the time this game and FF13 comes out, the ps3 will be $450 think about it.

I have my doubts that this will make the PS3 the best selling system of all time. It'll deffinately help the PS3's sales but if the sales don't pick up now, having the PS3 catch up to the Wii and 360 by that point will take an extremely large amount of people to start buying the system.

FF7 won't make the PS3 the best selling system of all time Such fanboyism.

I hope the price will go down for the PS3.

If this is true, it's cool, but I'm not overly excited for the remake.

I'll stick with the original thank you very much. I'm still not dishing out alot of money for a PS3.

Think about all the Japanese people that would instantly snap up the PS3 just for a remake of FF7. Hundreds, i'm sure.

All that aside, why are we suddenly trusting a guy from Konami about a game that would come out of SquareEnix?

Exactly. I just know it's bound to happen sooner or later. SE can't pass up this much of a profit, heh. Truth be told, though, this is a guy from a different company trying to confirm it...maybe Konami's got PS3 games on the way and want us to pick up a system early by spreading this info.

I would get it if it does. While I own it, I never truly finished FFVII.

Just because people said they wanted FF7 to be remade doesn't confirm that it will actually happen right now.

This wouldn't be that big of a surprise if they did decide to re-make it for the PS3. FF7 was a huge success on the PS1. A remake with better graphics would be a perfect money-making machine.

I just like the first FF VII that was made. I'm perfectly happy with it.

Yeah, Final Fantasy VII was such a great game. The only improvements they could possibly add are mini-games, extras, more side-missions, and better graphics. I'm not a huge fan of remakes, especially since FFVII is such a classic that you can still play it today with no problem. Well, anyways, go Square. At least they are giving the people what they want. (And getting a large profit in the process)
