For those who were wondering if Final Fantasy IV was going to make a comeback for the DS, you no longer have to wait. Square Enix has announced that it will have Final Fantasy IV for the Nintendo DS. The game will have better looking redesigned 3D graphics, distinguishing it from its original version.
The much-awaited game title Final Fantasy IV has officially been confirmed for the Nintendo DS handheld game system. This announcement was revealed at the Square Enix Party 2007, where the game publishing company said that it is currently in the process of developing a remake of its 1991 SFC/SNEC game.
Final Fantasy IV DS will see the original formula, although you can expect it to be highly spruced up with true 3D visuals, redesigned characters and loads of new story-furthering cut-scenes.
You can also expect the RPG Final Fantasy IV DS game title to have an evolved battle system.
Designers of the game, Takashi Tokita and Tomoya Asano are promising more detail and depth with this game. They are expanding the possibilities through alterations such as incorporating taller characters, which will change the look of the main characters from the SNES original game.
Takashi Tokita is executive producer and director, Tomoya Asano is producer of the game, while Hiroyuki Ito is battle director, Yoshinori Kaneda is storyboard chief, and MATRIX is working on development.
