SouthPeak Games let the word out about Velvet Assassin, new downloadable content and a possible sequel. At first it sounded like the developers wanted to do a sequel (maybe using a new protagonist?) but SouthPeak wasn't having any of it.

Generally, asking about downloadable content or sequels elicits some sort of "well, we'll see how this one goes" statement from a developer. However, a SouthPeak Interactive representative told Blend Games definitively that there would be no DLC for Velvet Assassin. Also, it's highly unlikely that we'll see a Velvet Assassin 2.

Looks like I messed up the headline. Could the powers at be fix it?

Why does this keep getting attached to the PS3 when it's not coming to it?

I guess having a sequel would be like making a Titanic 2 where Leonardo DiCaprio and the rest of the dead passengers had survived and created a magical city under the sea.

This is actually great news. Not every game has a need for DLC (I am honestly tired of costume packs) and I hate to see DLC created for the sake of creating it when it offers little to nothing to prolong the longevity of a title.... its late in the day, i need a nap.
