Microsoft is going to celebrate the exclusive "Lost & Damned" release by giving non-Gold members of Xbox Live a chance to play both Grand Theft Auto IV and/or the Lost & Damned expansion in multiplayer for free. This begins on Feb 17th and will end Feb 22nd.

One of two GTA IV episodes planned exclusively for Xbox 360, The Lost and Damned has players taking on the role of motorcycle gang member Johnny Klebitz in a story that intersects with the main game's events. The expansion includes new missions, multiplayer modes, weapons, vehicles, and music.

Rockstar will also host special events throughout the week, including sweepstake promotions, a multiplayer match against "the people behind the Grand Theft Auto franchise," and an "Xbox All Nighter."

That's good news for people without a Gold membership. What about those of us with a Gold membership? It would be fun to play against the people behind the game. I still haven't played through all of the missions on the 360. I did them all on the PS3 except Brucie's racing mission. I get bored playing back through the missions. I am looking forward to the DLC, it should add some excitement.

Gold members are of course included in the behind the games multiplayer matches. The chance of getting into one of those games however, are pretty slim I bet.

Oh I know. It just seems if you are a customer you should get like an extra 5 days added to your account. It's like my cell phone. I have had it for about 7 years. New customers get a free cell phone and other perks. I have to pay full price for a new cell phone.
