Electronic Theatre hosts the official announcement of a European release date for the highly-anticipated NintendoDS exclusive title, Pokemon Platinum.

A sweeping new adventure, set in the Sinnoh region of the Pokémon world, packed with new features - such as new ways to play online at the Wi-Fi Plaza over the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection and the ability to save your greatest victories in the Vs. Recorder - will electrify fans of the Pokémon series. A brand new Distortion World, governed by neither time nor space, also emerges, which provides a whole new gameplay challenge!

Well, it's not as big a gap as Nintendo often does. But I think a lot of people will import like they did with Diamond and Pearl.

Win. I enjoy the Pokemon games, usually playing them late at night when i can't sleep. Plenty of nights were spent on Pokemon Diamond...and plenty more shall be spent on Platinum!

They're STILL making pokemon games? And still naming them "Pokemon" and a color after it?

Sheesh, I thought they stopped that by now.
