Over the winter, San Diego Padres relief pitcher Heath Bell started playing Wii Fit with his kids. After he saw how pudgy his Mii avatar looked in the game, he made it his goal to lose weight using the game. After all was said and done, Bell came into spring training a whole 25 pounds lighter than he was last year.

I guess Wii Fit really does work after all.

According to the Padres reliever, he was able to lose 25 pounds, simply while using the Wii Fit with his children. Bell started the winter at a beefy 270 pounds, but reported to the Padres' Arizona camp at 245 and is among the favorites to take over Trevor Hoffman's old closer job.

All because he was initially discouraged by how pudgy his Mii avatar looked.

If I was the team fitness manager/trainer, I don't know whether I would be more embarrassed or agitated that this guy actually said that shit publicly.
