Metal Gear Solid Touch debut trailer

The first proper trailer for Metal Gear Solid Touch, the remake of the award winning PS3 game onto the iPhone is now up, and while its definitely not the game everyone was expecting it seems to be shaping up pretty nicely, these are definitely some high quality graphics for a handhold. Nice music too.

    It was never going to live up to MGS4 on the PS3, but it actually doesn't look half bad.

    I like mobile games, but aside from graphics this looks really bad. hopefully the actual game will prove me wrong.

      Lol, MGS4 has been out for about 8 months now, so it's not really spoiling anything. Just about everyone who wanted the game has likely gotten it by now.

      Also, if someone hasn't played MGS4 yet, and are pissed over what's shown in this trailer, then it's their own fault for watching a trailer for a new installment to the series.

      That's like watching a trailer for MGS:PO and getting pissed because you didn't know Naked Snake lost his eye in MGS3.

          Sorry, I thought it was pretty widely known that MGT was to be based on MGS4, and I figured since everyone knew that, they would know what to expect in terms of bosses. I also didn't think of people who haven't played the PS3 version of MGS4.

          I guess I was wrong...Sorry, again, if I kind of flamed anyone

    That actually looks pretty sick from the trailer. The gameplay might be kind of bad, but this is a well-know company like Konami publishing on the iPhone, so I suspect they'll put a lot of work into that.

    This does not look fun. I mean the hand drawn sprites look great, but the animation is choppy and the gameplay looks like on an on the rail shooter.

    LOL at all the people saying "It's gunna be crap" So, you expect a full 3D port of MGS4 on the Iphone/Touch?

      Smiffers, obviously no one's expecting that...

      It's pretty easy to see that it's not that the people complaining want an exact port of MGS4 to the iPod touch, they just plainly don't want a port at all. Those complaining are likely asking themselves, "why dumb down such a masterpiece?"

      How does saying 'it's gonna be crap' translate to 'it's gonna be crap because it isn't exactly like the PS3 one DX'?

      People are saying it's going to be crap because it looks like nothing other then a shiny House of the Dead style point and shoot, taking the whole Metal Gear niche of stealth and shitting bullets on it.

    Calcium is good but to the extent where we take a PS3 masterpiece, strip it of its mechanics, and create something like this...

    No thanks. Looks pathetic in my opinion. Why bloody bother. If that was my first experience with the MGS series, then I wouldn't be satisfied enough to continue on with other titles..
