There was a lot of questioning about why the Xbox 360 wasn't receiving the free Titan Pack. Epic Games finally sent out word as to why the content was only going to be available on the PS3 and PC.

Midway announced this week that a huge batch of free content would be released soon for the PC and PS3 versions of Unreal Tournament 3. Why were Xbox 360 owners left out in the cold? Well, there's a couple reasons, actually.

I understand everything there apart from the part about file size limitations. Does Microsoft limit the size of download content? The Lost and Damned for Grand Theft Auto IV was 1.7GB.

I know they used to have a strict 50mb limit on XBLA games, but with DLC it seems like a double-standard here.

Either way, it certainly does make the Xbox 360 look dated when Epic starts running down a checklist of why an expansion pack isn't coming to the console.

The Titan pack is considered a patch. Microsoft limits the sizes of patches to 800MB, I believe. The Lost and Damned is premium download content.

The PS3 version still has no splitscreen support like the 360 version has (it has campaign and online splitscreen; PS3 version has neither).

That's what the Titan Pack is enabling for the PS3.

Then I might actually check this out then. The PS3 lacks good coop/splitscreen games.

It's a damn shame really. But you know, I've always thought Unreal was at it's best on PC anyways.

Its been known for a while the Mods weren't allowed on the 360 (one of the main reasons for its delay apparently) which I'd say is definitely the main reason.

Didn't know about the others though.

The others is because a lot of the new stuff was already in the 360 version like split screen and the new maps.

I'm rather pleased actually, I think the PS3 deserves it more.

I purchased UT3 for PC when it was released, I have a rig that can more then supports it. This game sucks a.., I sold my copy on ebay for about $10 less then what I paid for it and felt lucky to get that.
Face it UT3 flopped and is by far one of the worst FPS games ever released.
I have been a loyal UT fan since day one and I have loved the series but this was a big disappointment.
What made me mad was the lies and disrespect they have shown there customers and supporters.
This Titan pack is a way for them to try and make up there losses and as far as I am concerned they can take it and shove it.
I just purchased F.E.A.R 2 and yes it did have some problems but this game signal or MP is by far much better then UT3.
My advise to anyone looking to purchase UT3 because of there Epic's Deming attempt to apologize with this so called "Titan Pack" forget it.
