OXCGN received a nice surprise in the mail today, a brand new Gameplay video f The Chronicles Of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena not only challenges players to survive Butcher Bay, engaging them in an all new single-player experience, but for the first time in the Riddick universe also allows them to fight for their lives amidst intense multi-player combat.

The game introduces the ominous Merc-ship Dark Athena, which stalks the dark reaches of space like a ravenous spider, searching for any helpless prey it can find to feast upon. Players must face a large bloodthirsty operation led by the dreaded Captain Revas and her slaves-turned-controllable combat drones, storm through death-defying events and battle fierce enemies in a fight for their survival and their freedom.

First released in 2004, The Chronicles of Riddick game features an original storyline that provides insight into the mythology of Universal Pictures' films The Chronicles of Riddick and the cult classic Pitch Black, which first introduced Vin Diesel as enigmatic anti-hero Riddick.

The game blends action and stealth elements, as players navigate Riddick through the harsh environments of dank tunnels, dimly lit corridors, and other hazardous areas filled with guards, savage inmates and deadly creatures that prowl the darkness.

    i've never looked up this game, or seen pictures or it until this article. The only thing Riddick that I saw, was the first Pitch Black movie and parts of the Chronicles of Riddick.

    With that said . . . what in the world happened to his mouth?!?! It puffed up SO much! That right there, to be honest, hurt any interest I have in the game

    In real life he has a funy mouth really, so in animation it's hard to hide that. But do give the game a solid go, because if you've never played the first, then you have certainly missed a solid game on the earlier console.

    One of the best of the last line of games on the 1st-gen xbox, as was Black. Which I'm glad to say is finally coming to the 360 with its successor, Black: Second Mission. There's 3 missions all up in the entire storyline of Black.

    If you check out other items on Riddick: AODA, you'll find it is a game well worth waiting for. We'll be putting up a Riddick page soon . . so it will have as much info on the game as we can find and plonk it all in one spot to make it easier for everyone.

    Wow!

    That trailer was awesome!

    The gameplay looks smooth, the graphics crisp and the characters look great.

    I'll be downloading the demo the day it goes up.
