Activision and Nelvana Enterprises announce video games based on popular game and cartoon, Bakugan. The insanely popular "Battle Brawlers" were named "Toy of the Year" in 2008.

Activision Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) announced today an agreement with Corus Entertainment Inc.’s Nelvana Enterprises to develop and distribute video games based on the breakout hit toy and wildly popular action animated television series Bakugan. The first Bakugan game will be released for Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PLAYSTATION3 and PlayStation2 computer entertainment systems in the fall of 2009.

    I tried this out with my step-son and while we enjoyed the game for a few, the stupid Balls start breaking pretty damn rapidly....if they could package it into a decent game I would rather dump money into that than anymore of those stupid frickin' marbles.

      Oh the board game style? Well if you enjoyed it for a while hey, but it seems like a corny rip off of Yugioh. Anyone else got that feeling?

        Yeah I tried the card/marble game. We did enjoy it for about an hour before things starting falling apart. I tried to contact their service department and got blown off. I spent about $40 to get us up and running, so there is definitely no value there LMAO

        Never played Yugioh, so not sure.
