Movies often don't make a very good transition to video games, but Terminator Salvation is actually a prequel to the movie and features a pretty cool post-apocalyptic world as a setting. It looks like this one might be a good movie-to-game to keep an eye on.

I'll believe it when I see it.

If the devs know what they're doing, and aren't forced to rush the game out, it MIGHT be good, but we'll see, won't we.

My expectations for the game are quite low at the moment, so who knows, I might be pleasantly surprised.

Terminator 3: The Redemption was a great movie game, so not sure why this new Terminator game would be surprisingly good. Hell, T2: The Arcade Game was also a great game.

Kung Fu Panda, based off the movie beat Dead Space for a award, so movie games might be becoming better all of a sudden.

Kung Fu Panda only won an award for best game ANIMATION, nothing more.

So movie games are getting better because Kung-Fu panda was well animated, even though the rest of it was trash?

          Great logic.

Hehe, that includes this Terminator, and WALL-E which was a runner up.

A runner-up... for animation. Not for being a good game. But for being well animated (no surprise since it was done by Pixar).

        I hate Pixar anyway.

I mean, if a game can get awards and money from good animation, everyone will steal that type of animation and all good ideas will be all companies ideas.

Good point though, gameplay is more important but the fil already gives you the storyline.

That isn't how animation in gaming works, but whatever. The point is anything can be well animated and still be a steaming pile of dung, as Kung Fu Panda demonstrates. It's not just gameplay either, it's also how they implement the story into the game. Enter the Matrix, for example, was based on The Matrix but you played from the perspective of side-characters doing things other then what's in the movies. If they make it exactly like the film then there's nothing new, which is boring. If it diverts too much then it's too different and most probably uninteresting. Kung Fu Panda was pretty much playing the film in a very crappy way. Good for a three year old maybe, but in terms of an overall package it was horrid, so using it as an example for movie games getting better is absurd.
