Just a tiny update for Dawn of War II today, for those that've been having memory issues with the game. You can grab it via Steam -- for those who bought the retail version, well, we're not sure if there's another way to get it.

Updates to Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II

* Improved memory heap management to reduce 'out-of-memory' crashes that were plaguing certain systems, including 32-Bit Vista on High and Ultra settings. Often reported as 'error 183 failed to create to create dump'

Dawn of War II, PC version has consumed all of my time and my life. I care not for StarCraft 2 at the moment, especially the thought of having to buy 3 seperate games to enjoy the total experience....

My rant about UK's Warhammer being the source material for Blizzard's empire - both WarCraft and StarCraft:

Disclaimer: But I still love Blizzard!

      3 SEPARATE GAMES?

So what? are they like splitting each faction into a different game?

Yeah, I haven't been following it much. I liked Warcraft 3 a lot. I watched a couple starcraft 2 vids that's about it. After all the rage about it and how I liked warcraft 3 I was going to pick it up.

          But thanks for the links.

I hope by that they mean you get a really extensive campaign for the race, but you can still play as other factions in skirmish and online.

I don't see why they don't just take the Red alert route, that would work far better IMO.
