If you are a Wii owner who has been hoping that Capcom will port Resident Evil 5 to Wii, then prepare to be disappointed.
In a recent interview, Resident Evil 5's producer Jun Takeuchi revaled that there was no chance of the game being made for the Wii because the development team wanted "the most powerful, most pretty game". Ouch.

Takeuchi has once again discussed Resident Evil 5 and has explained why the game isn’t being released for the Wii. He says that the development team was looking to create “the most powerful, most pretty game” and “the Wii isn’t the best choice.”

“When we set out to make ‘Resident Evil 5,’ the guys knew that if you want to make the most powerful, most pretty game, the Wii isn’t the best choice. From a business perspective it may have been, but after making this game we are happy with the choice we made.”

I bet 90% of people that have a Wii, wouldn't want RE5 anyway.

gee ya think? 90% of Wii owners are soccer moms anyway. thats because the vast majority of Wii owners are not gamers and the Wii (and possibly the DS) is the only system they have. yes there are hardcore gamers that have other systems too, but they are far outweighed.

And do you have proof that 90% of Wii owners are soccer mom hmmm?

I guess I can now say that 90% of Xbox and PlayStation owners are senior citizens and still make it seem like fact.

    *bleep* redneofish.
there are plenty of hardcore gamers on the Wii. just because some people have a Wii doesn't mean they aren't "Hardcore" gamers with blowing peoples heads off and seeing sweat come off your character's ass.
But this doesn't affect me as i will most likley buy both 360 and PS3 version...i'll only get the special ed. for PS3 though

I didn't say there weren't any hardcore gamers for Wii. Take the whole amount of people that have the Wii, the amount of hardcore gamers will be dwarfed compared to the casual.

Judging from RE5's graphics I thought this was obvious. -__-

Sucks for Wii owners though. =/

Didn't the producer already go through this a long time ago? Intro screen not possible, wasn't it?

He did, I believe he even said the wii couldn't even handle RE5's title/menu screen.

        Wow, thats bad =|

I mean really bad. You'd think Nintendos "Next Gen" console could at least handle a title menu.

you know that the Wii's guts are hardly different than Gamecube's right? pretty much just slightly smaller versions of the same chipset.
