Electronic Theatre reports on the continued conflict between Microsoft and Sony's online videogame services, XboxLIVE! and PlayStation Network, respectively.
However, what does seem a reasonable measurement of success would be a comparison of the revenues earned by each service. According to reports that have surfaced today, Microsofts XboxLIVE! service has generated more than five times as much revenue as Sonys network. PlayStation Network is believed to have generated revenues totalling $180 million, while XboxLIVE! revenues are suggested to have surpassed the $1 billion mark.

Live has several million more users then PSN
PSN is free whereas Live costs a bit (assuming they take that into consideration)
and its been around for what, nearly 4 years now?
Don't forget that Xbox Live has been running on the original Xbox since 2002, while the PSN has only been up since 2006. Plus all those original accounts would have been paying; none of the free Silver accounts.
Shocking isn't it =\
I'm not a hun, they're horrible, horrible creatures. And that's why I like to skelp them.
DUH.
Wow. Next we'll talk about how the Wii has a few minor graphics flaws, or how the red ring of death on the 360 is an inconvenience.
It's perfectly reasonable to state XBL > PSN because XBL is older and much more experienced.
What I'm saying is that it is perfectly reasonable to expect the extra 5 years experience MS has to be a big factor in the fact that XBL on the whole is a better product than PSN. It may not be better value for money, but it is better.
I don't own a PS3, so I don't have any first-hand knowledge of how the PSN works. From the screenshots I've seen, I'm noticed that it doesn't have a lot of advertisements. It's a big step up over XBL in that department with has an entire page on the Dashboard dedicated to ads.
So to me, Live is more than worth the money,
