Developers Sucker Punch sure are trying to spur some interest in their upcoming game Infamous, and for me at least its working. Just today via Playstation Blog they have promised a demo for PSN, a worldwide release date of June and even shown us the boxart (which is pictured to the right). A new trailer and more info is promised next week.

We know many of you have been wondering when urban hero Cole McGrath and his electrifying arsenal of superpowers is coming to a town near you. Well, we want to share with you today that inFamous will be launching worldwide this June, and here’s a first look at the front-of-box for the title.

You're still not being funny, or annoying. If you want my help, I can give you some tips on winding people up.

I must be being funny, I have 5 thumbs. How many do you have for that comment? Erm... 1... 2... 0. Zero. Zilch. None.

As for annoying, I think I'll decide that one, though thanks for playing

I don't measure my worth as a human being in number of thumbs up my comments get. I see you do.

You mistake worth as a Human for funniness of a comment, thus loweing yours a considerable amount

Moar thumbs = moar funnies. No thumbs = you.

          You're forgetting one important thing...

I couldn't give a *bleep* what people on the internet think about me.

          You, obviously, do.

The only reason you don't give a *bleep* is because they find you an annoyance, duh.

If they didn't, you wouldn't be so up your own arse about it

They find me an annoyance? I'm hurt, I don't know if I'll ever recover...

          ...

          .....over it.

          Only two smile smileys?

          How very convincing Mr. Hun

It doesn't bother you that people say you're annoying, because remember you make it your job to be annoying!

What the real question is . . . what if people DON'T find you annoying? . . .

I want the game if that's what you mean

      Hunskelper Mar 7, 09
No, what I mean is that your opinions worth is somewhat lowered because of the fact you practically bum every PS3 exclusive.

        HisServant77 Mar 7, 09
That could be because he frequents a site (the Official PS Blog for example) that talks about PS3 exclusives. . .

Just because Silver posts articles about PS3 exclusives doesn't mean his oppinion is lowered. Unless of course, you yourself are ANTI PS3. Then of course you are biased and his opinion would be of little worth to you.

I stand by my initial analysis.

It is true I am positive with most of my news, but I feel its part of the job. It would be pretty silly of me to say "Well a demo is coming, but I don't think I'll play it, the boxart is lame and the release date is ages away." And in most cases I generally do like the game, I truly do plan to get this one, it looks awesome.

Why would it be "pretty silly" to be negative about a game? And no, being positive about something doesn't make you a good journalist.
        • 5
          Bale Fire* Mar 7, 09
But why be negative to a game without cause? I like games a lot, but if I don't like something and I have a good reason for it I'll be negative, but in this case and the case of many other PS3 exclusives I have a very positive view.

And I know it isn't part of being a good journalist (not that I consider this journalism anyway) but I think its nice to be positive. Reading cynical and pessimistic statements gets old fast, as my profile says I find news so much better if you enjoy it.

How about instead of being positive or negative you just be honest?

edit: And congratulations on straying waaay off my initial point.

          HisServant77 Mar 7, 09
I believe he is being honest, by honestly expressing that he likes the game.

          Bale Fire* Mar 7, 09
          Isn't that what I just said? If I have a reason to like a game I'll say so, if I don't I won't.

And being honest isn't always the right answer. If I'm dragged to a party I don't go around making everyone else's time worse because I don't want to be there, I smile and stick it out.

          HisServant77 gets it

Boxart is pretty good. Its good news for me thats its going to be released in June.

I hope the demo will be released soon, I'm not decided about this one.

I hope they release the demo a week before release as i think this is one game that a demo could affect the sales. There are lots of people not decided if they have about a month with the demo, some that love it will play it to death and those that hate it will be able to find thousands of reasons not to buy it. Either way many people could be left not buying whether they like it or not, i feel this happens to lots of open world games with demos, it's probably why Rockstar Games never releases them.

Alright, that's great! Can hardly wait for the game to release. I'm not too interested in the demo though right now because I know i'm wanting to get it anyway.

Yet to be convinced by what I've seen of this game. I'll check out the demo, but at the moment it's still in the 'meh' category for me.
