Atlus announces it has forged a partnership with developer Sting (responsible for the Baroque series, Riviera, Yggdra Union AND Knights in the Nightmare) to become the exclusive publisher of their titles. They'll also handle all of the marketing for Sting's future releases.

This effectively ends Sting's own publishing duties in Japan. Atlus USA was already responsible for releasing for most of Sting's most recent titles in North America, so it's not like the two companies just happened upon each other all of a sudden.

Additionally, Atlus may commission Sting to produce titles based on its own properties. In any case, the publisher is so confident of its partnership that it expects software sales to increase by 50 percent over the coming months.

Speaking of Atlus and Sting, be sure to be on the lookout for the North American release of Knights in the Nightmare, now with more spoils!

Highly interesting news. Baroque was an alright game and it had great potential, though I feel that it could have been better (such as not constantly losing your stamina thingy). The idea of never really "dying" either was interesting as well.

Knights in the Nightmare seems to be shaping up nicely and looks like it will hold many possibilities. I can't wait to try that out!

It's great to hear Atlus is doing well enough to be able to support another developer, especially them being one of my favourites out there.

KitN definitely looks special -- I do think I will be purchasing it.

Atlus certainly seems to be doing very well for themselves.

Best of luck to them both! They're both interesting and good companies after all.
