The prequel to Redwood Shores' Dead Space is seeing some details pour in.

First, it's said to take place three weeks before the original's protagonist Isaac gets to the Ishimura, the ship we traversed last time. You start out on a planet before setting off, but things "turn nasty".

Next, you'll be able to play as two different characters, and one NPC is a heroine you must protect and save (not much of a heroine).

The flamethrower will be in the game, as well as a couple of different pistols.

As for a Dead Space sequel...

"Let's hope so," [Glen Schofield, general manger at EA Redwood Shores] told GameTrailers when asked if we'll see a sequel. "We have enough story to tell."
