If PlayStation 3 ownin' BioShock fans were at all worried, there's no longer a need -- the sequel/prequel/whatever the heck it is has been confirmed 100% to be coming to the system.

Rumours on the internet claim that Microsoft has been gunning for another timed exclusive with the sequel, fueled by a recent release schedule from 2K that listed the game's platform as TBA.

A 2K rep has however confirmed to CVG that the game is definitely coming to Sony's console, although we're awaiting word back on whether or not the game will be a timed exclusive like the original, which released on 360 over a year before the PS3.

I seriously hope not, i am not waiting a year to see a story i am already hyped to see play out. If this goes timed Microsoft will have an Xbox 360 purchase from me as i will not be waiting.

I can see it being timed, as Microsoft has the wallet for it.

So does Sony but they're not known for shelling out on important Exclusives.

Yeah Sony are extremely tight fisted with their money and hardly EVER use it on DLC etc

Look at Fallout 3 and GTA IV for an example.

Yeah, but Bethesda also does that by nature; they much prefer PCs and 360s. Oblivion was their first ever game on PS3, and even then they hadn't planned on it being on PS3 initially, and FO3 was developed with PC/360 as lead platform.

When i first played the bioshock, I was amazed. Then a year later I played the ps3 demo and was bored out of my mind. Even though it was the same level. I don't know what is up. but im gonna try and play the full game sometime this summer so i wont get left behind with these games as they do look good.

I'm not surprised it's coming to the PS3 and I seriously doubt that it's a timed exclusive.

The reason the PS3 version of Bioshock came out a year later was because they didn't start developing it until the 360 version was released. They hadn't expected to make a PS3 version from the outset.

Also, you must be hella impatient to spend another $300 for a console just to play a single game a little earlier.

thats a little messed up if its true that ps3 owners will have to wait a whole year before the ps3 version comes out..Thats why i'll be happy when i have my 360

If it IS a timed exclusive for the 360/PC, then when it DOES come to the PS3, it'll probably have exclusive stuff like with Bioshock 1

i wasn't worried, i was quite safe in the knowledge it was coming to the ps3 from the beginning.
