Tom Orry had a sit down with Christian Svensson of Capcom which reveals that Capcom still has more "HD Remix" games in the works. With the popularity of Street Fighter and Bionic Commando's HD games (and to a lesser extent 1942 Joint Strike), I have no doubts we will see Final Fight HD (or as VideoGamer.com hopes, Marvel vs Capcom)

"Are we done doing HD Remixes? No we're not done. But the next ones that we do will be even better, based on what we learned."

When asked if Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was a game that didn't need the HD Remix treatment, Svensson replied: "I won't say it doesn't need it. Marvel would be great to do. There's obviously a fan base for it. It's probably our most requested title. Unfortunately, I wish I had news to share on that front but I don't."

With all the newer Capcom characters available (Vietiful Joe, Zack & Wiki, Lost Planet, soooo many), as well as an updated Marvel roster, I would rather have a new game than a remix.

Doesn't Activision have the Marvel license now though? I wonder how this would all work out.

Well, Street Fighter HD remix was released with SFIV just months before release, I can see both happening.

Make this happen Capcom... do it.

Probably. But I would still gladly buy it (that or a Rescue Rangers remake)

as much as i would LOVE to see the upcoming MVC2 done in HD, that would make the release date even farther away then it probably is. so me and my friend came up with a really good compromise:

release MVC2 now on Xbox Arcade and PSN for like $25, and then work on an HD remix DLC pack that you can release later on which would be free. then we can download that pack and have the option to use HD sprites instead. win/win!
