Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles was announced just a few days ago, and already Capcom have big plans for it. Producer, Masachika Kawata, revealed that they are "looking to...go back to a 'very dark' style of Resident Evil".

"What we're looking to do is go back to a 'very dark' style of Resident Evil," Kawata said. "'Dark' is really a key word for this game. It will be shown in horror, in the storyline, in the emotions that the characters go through." We saw examples of this as Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield fought side-by-side through a zombie ravaged Racoon City, circa Resident Evil 2.

I'm going to hold them to this...let's hope they do go back to RE's horror style.

So many people find this shocking or odd, yet Capcom have said that they wanted to do this for quite a long while now.

...is that a horrible way to justify the "Darkside" name? Unless they quit making happy endings, I don't see what they're talking about.

So they want to go back to the darker side of Resident Evil via a Rail Shooter?

1, 2, 3 where the scariest by far. 4 was just very fun. But I prefer scary over SHOOT EVERYTHING.

Who's that little girl with the microphone?

Way to go Crapcom, make a good RE game, and it's on none of the console it should be on.

I'm just saying, next gen graphics deserve the original flavor of RE horror.

    YOU FAIL!

Resident Evil: House of the Dead, does not get your respect back, Capcom, especially not on the Wii.
