Apparently, these Development Kits are used in the actual production of PlayStation Portable games (UMD)! Might want to get your hands on a dev kit soon, before this one disappears, considering SONY had removed the previous auction of a Dev Kit 2 years ago. There are only a couple days left for the auction.

Remember that PSP dev kit that showed up on eBay in 2006? Nobody got that one since Sony managed to get it removed before a final deal was set, but now here's another guy selling yet another PSP dev kit.

The seller says that it already comes with everything you need to get it up and running, including a PSP test unit that has one dead pixel. No mention of how the seller got his hands on this thing since as far as I know, Sony just licenses dev kits to game developers.

The current bid is just US$ 222.50 with the bidding ending on March 16. Let's see if someone manages to buy this before Sony gets it taken down as well.

Someone is going to bid as a joke thinking they'll be outbid or the item will be removed. Then they're going to be up shit creek when no one is dumb enough to out bid $5 billion and Sony don't catch it in time.

Sony just can't look after the PSP anymore.

$1850 and 11 hours left...looks like Sony couldn't get it off ebay in time.

Unless it's someone working for Sony that has the top bid.
They could try be trying to buy it just to keep it out of hackers hands, but don't want to make a big deal about it.

        Well...
If it was taken down 2 years ago, and Sony didn't get it, it's possible this is just another attempt to sell it again, or it's a brand new one. That, or they are buying it...but if they got it last time, why not just do that this time?

The serial numbers are hidden better this time, making harder for Sony to get it taken down.

Well it finally ended, it had 43 bids and somebody paid US $3,050 for it.
I sure hope it's not Sony that got it.

That's a lot of money, what do you think they'll actually do with it?
