Download WipEout HD for Free?

Have you tried WipEout HD and experienced the awesome adrenaline rush that is WipEout? But if you don't have 20 dollars, this might be a problem for people that are interested. Well apparently Sony is holding an offer for people who register for PSN Australia will receive a voucher through email to get the game for free. No word on current PSN Australian members.

A promotion is apparently being held by Sony in Austria, where you get a redeemable voucher to download WipEout HD off the Austrian PSN store for free.

All that is required is to simply register an Austrian PSN account, the promotion is said to have started yesterday (March 16th) and will finish on April 18th.

    I wonder if people could just sign up and say they're from Aus when they're really from Canada or something and get Wipeout for free? Or maybe they'll actually check when you sign up which country your really registering from.

      Exactly and if what I think is true Sony will already know people can do this which means the possibility of giving a voucher to australian PSN's would be very low.

    australia or austrian? i guess it would work signing up with an account saying you're from aus.

    I didn't find the demo that good, maybe its the worst track but it was just a bit drab and lacked the energy of the original PS1 game. I expected more from PS3. I believe theres's full blu ray game being made for 2010

    Wipeout HD was pretty good. I have all golds in Campaign (on easy mode, and a few gold on elite)

    I would imagine they have some sort of way of detecting region though.

    If I didn't already have it, I'd try it now.
