Frogwares and HFrogwares and Focus Home Interactive have announced that the next entry in Sherlock Holmes games series, Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the Ripper, already scheduled on PC, will be also released on XBOX360. The game will be ported by a French studio Spider Games. It's also the first adventure of the detective on next-gen consoles. The date for the 360 release isn't set.
Sherlock Holmes will have to solve a series of prostitutes' murders in London of 1888, all carrying the trademark of Jack the Ripper, as the police seems unable to find the good lead. The game is inspired by the mystery of Jack the Ripper, a serial killer from the end of the XIXe century, who was never identified.
In a move to immerse more players in the sinister and seedy atmosphere of the backstreets of 19th century London, two perspectives will be available in this game. The third-person perspective offers classic point-and-click gameplay, whilst there is also an option to investigate from a direct-controlled first-person view, which should ideally suit the Xbox 360’s gamepad.

Amazingly this didn't come out for the PC exclusively, because I sure as hell know that if it's not a shooter on the console, it's not kicking off.
PC gaming has been the beacon for the genre in recent years, and even then it hasn't quite had the attention it deserves. Adventure titles = Intelligent RPG's.
Still, I'm a PC gamer, so, I don't really know the actual state of art for consoles.
Also if you haven't played the other sherlock holmes games then I advise you do...they are pretty good and some of them are pretty gruesome. Same with the Dracula ones
