Some interesting news from the first day of GDC. PixelJunk Eden was profitable after its first day releasing. Which is quite an impressive feat, especially for some devs who are looking to make cash. Reason would most likely be that Monsters was also very popular and hat this was one of the first few games to have trophy support. Now lets see how long before they make a profit off Encore

Publishers looking for a quick buck don't need to focus their efforts solely on the iPhone. Sony's Susan Panico touted the values of PSN development by providing a case study on PixelJunk Eden, Q-Games' third PSN-exclusive title. Panico told the GamesBeat audience that "PixelJunk Eden made its return on investment within 24 hours." Sales after that period become pure profit.

I sadly couldn't get into the game Which is a bad thing considering I like the fact that it was one of the first with trophies, and also to use the Youtube uploading! Sadly, the great features aren't enough to make me buy a game I can't enjoy playing
