Electronic Theatre reveals the confirmation of the European (and other PAL territories) release for NAMCO BANDAI's Tales of Vesperia, exclusively on Xbox360.

The world of Terca Lumireis is in transition. Ten years of peace have led to an uneasy truce between the Empire and guilds, which desire to live by their own rules. Controlling the ancient technology known as “blastia,” the Empire has provided safety and prosperity to its citizens, but the people have grown uneasy with the heavy hand of their government. As former Imperial Knight Yuri Lowell, players will explore the complex relationship between blastia, the government and its people, setting foot outside the safe confines of the cities to explore a mysterious and dangerous world.

    Namco are c**ts.

Releasing it in UK/Australia a fecking year later, despite the fact Brits and Australians speak the same fecking language. They weren't content with doing JUST that though, they chuck some region restrictions on the game so it can't be imported either. Then, to add a rotten cherry on top of the shite sundae, when asked when it'll hit British/Australian shores, they say "Eeehh, dunno."

    C**ts.

Jeez...I know simultaneous release dates would make people more happy but...be happy that you're getting this game. It's sales haven't been anything to brag about, and I bet Bamco (Bandai/Namco) would realize that the game won't do any better in other regions. Guess they just want the fans to enjoy the game, which is nice of them, it's a damn good game imo.

If they were worried about sales, why restrict their ability to sell the product. They would have got a decent amount of import sales if they hadn't put region restriction in it.

      C**ts.

Region restriction? Isn't that custom for the consoles, not the games? :S Perhaps it has to do with the different rating systems or something.

Nope. I've played several American versions of games on my 360, but the Tales game is one of the few that don't work. It's up to the developer to decide on Region Restriction and they must've been *bleep*ing high if they thought "We may not release this in Europe, I know, let's put region restrictions in the game anyway so if we don't release it over there, they can't play it all".

If this was EA, a helluva lot more people would be pissed.

It's about bloody time we got a new Tales as well, considering how many have passed us by.
