Fallout Online -- I don't think many of you knew it was being made, did you?

Original IP holders Interplay are thought to be working on the Fallout Online MMORPG game. Interplay published Fallout 1&2, before Bethesda bought the IP and used the license for their RPG-lite FPS blockbuster Fallout 3.

Fallout Online (also known by code-name Project V13) has been in development for more than a year now, though it has not been officially confirmed that Interplay has secured enough money to see the game's development through all the way to the end.

Anyways: here is the first concept art image of the new game.

We all know Natiq "defonten" Aghayev, and we all know Interplay's project V13, aka FOOL. Now see the two combine as defonten reveals a piece of concept art he did for Interplay, on project V13.

So it's not being made by Bethesda? It'll be shit. Just an attempt to cash in on Bethesda's brilliance.

Hahaha it's made by the original team. The guys that made the critically acclaimed Fallout 1 and Fallout 2, Bethesda have made one game in the Fallout lineage and in the grand scheme of things *bleep*ed up quite a bit, it was a good game but storywise it could have been a lot better Interplay know the real story because they wrote it this should be insane

They are going to make it as similar as possible to Fallout 3, which they didn't make, Bethesda did, so that they can cash in on the hype around the game. They have yet to make a Fallout game in 3D, first person like Bethesda, who should at least be part developers in this MMO.

Dude that's so ridiculous. Bethesda bought the Fallout license and ported all the good stuff from the first two games into their Oblivion engine. If anyone is cashing in on the hype it is Bethesda here, not the guys who held the original license.

Are you saying just because Interplay is making a 3D MMO that means they are somehow cashing in on Fallout 3? Hardly anything is known about the game, it probably will have hardly anything in common at all with Fallout 3 besides the obvious Fallout world stuff (which Bethesda did not make in the first place.)

Yeah I was referring to the style and game play. I'll bet you anything it's ridiculously similar to Fallout 3.

I'd give it a chance, Bethesda have never made a MMO to my knowledge so they would likely screw it royally anyway.

they had never made an RPG before they made the first elder scrolls. did they screw that up?

Have you even played the first elder scrolls game? I haven't myself. The game is from 1992. From what I've read though, it isn't much of an RPG.

They've pretty much got MMO down, Its basically what they have now except just throw in some heavy multiplayer aspects, some PVP, maybe a faction type thing, more items, balancing and your set to go.

Idk if a MMO would be fit for a game like Fallout. 3 at least. All I would need is a simple co-op option so one or two of my friends could come and explore with me. Although it would be hard considering that they could easily mess my game up. But im sure it could be fixed. MMO seems like a little too much for my taste, but hey i'd give it a go and see if I liked it or not.
