Ubisoft CEO, Guillemot, stated that the PS3 will need a substantial price drop to be truly successful. Among other things, Guillemot hinted at a PS3 exclusive title in the works.
In a recent talk with business news outlet, Reuters, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot had some choice words to say about Sony's faltering PS3. Guillemot believes that Sony's console -- which continues to sell under expectations -- needs a substantial price drop, and it needs it soon.
Speaking at Reuters Global Technology, Media and Telecoms Summit, Guillemot remarked, "For sure Sony will have a different market share... lower than before." The Ubisoft exec added, "They have to decrease the price quite significantly," but declined to expand on this statement any further.
Despite these low expectations for the machine, Guillemot hinted at an exclusive PS3 title being worked on for the console in Europe. Guillemot didn't reveal any other details on this project, but hopefully an announcement will pop up during the upcoming Ubidays press event in France.

I'll just sell my damn house, maybe THEN I'll have the money for this console?
Sony needs to wake up and realize that hardly anyone is as rich as they all are. Actually they should have realized this when they first released the damn thing and realized that it wasn't selling for shit.
PHASE 1: PRICE CUT
PHASE 2: ???
PHASE 3: PROFIT
A $600 console with no titles? Hilarity ensues. Oh but it has a Blu-ray drive? Cue the laughter.
Here in Australia PS3's cost $1000 but they sell on ebay for as little as $750
Thats $250 dollars saved
I already have enough money to buy a PS3 but I'm using that money for more important things.
Microsoft has nothing at ALL over those years in Gaming history. (console-wise)
Heck, it'd be funny if Sony hijacked games like Slave Zero and spawned PS3 sequels.
Still a lot of untapped potential, but they need to secure the market and get those consoles in peoples homes, stat!
