A 25 year old man has collapsed and died while jogging on his Wii Fit.
It is unknown how he died, though his family has been told that Sudden Adult Death Syndrome is the likely cause. Surprisingly the media haven't blamed the man's death on the Wii Fit itself.

Tim Eves was 'jogging' on the spot using the games console at home when he slumped to the floor.

His girlfriend Emma Tuck and friend Lewis Hickin, both 25, called an ambulance and tried to revive Mr Eves, but he was declared dead on arrival to hospital, despite the efforts of paramedics.

I've never heard of that way of death before so it wouldn't surprise me if some of the media was actually genuine in thinking the Wii Fit did it. Of course it's going to get more readers with Wii Fit rather than Sudden Adult Death Syndrome in the title.

I'm going to guess that's the guy who died.

It is odd for something like this to happen. Going to be interesting how the media will play this one out.

Mmmm... I though that would have been obvious.

Why would it have been obvious? Plenty of submitters upload junk pictures to legit articles without any main picture for extra pointage.

Don't worry, the story will spread, and they will.

But I don't see why this is a story in the first place. People die all the time, so why should when someone dies playing Wii Fit it becomes an article?

Meh, the media works in strange and money-making ways.

So if a dude was killed by aliens, it wouldn't be news because people die all the time?

He died in odd circumstance, and they're not sure why. That is news in itself. The fact he was playing Wii Fit is even more interesting.

Clearly the dude would have died regardless of playing Wii fit or not, but since he was it's a story.

Strange you should say that actually because survivors of SUDS(sudden unexplained death syndrome) Say that they felt the presence of an alien in the room.

yeah and besides what DMF said, how do you know what an alien presence feels like? unless of course they had already been abducted and butt probed before.

Its just a name. Don't take it so seriously. By alien presence I would assume they just meant they felt something there that was out of place. Its called SUDS because people who have it sometimes die unexplained. Its a disease.

dude if you get SUDS, you are not gonna survive it. obviously if you are still alive, you never had SUDS. why? because the symptom is DEATH!!!

Uhh . . . I have to agree . . . Laughing too! Think of SUDS as a way of dying. So, if you survived it, you didn't survive SUDS because you didn't die. That's like saying I had death but survived!

    quote Bill Hicks
”Ever seen that commercial Yul Brynner did right before he died! ‘I’m Yul Brynner and I’m dead now because I smoked cigarettes.’ Okay. That’s pretty scary, but they could have done that with anyone. How about Jim Fixx! Remember the big runner who died while jogging! ‘I’m Jim Fixx and I’m dead now and I don’t know what the *bleep* happened. I jogged every day, ate nothing but tofu, swam 500 laps every morning. Yul Brynner drank, smoked and got laid every night of his life. I’m running around a dewy track at dawn, and Yul’s passing me on his way home in his big, long lime, cigarette in one hand, drink in the other, two girls blowing him. Where did I go wrong!’

Media is hesitant to blame Wii Fit because of its supposed appeal toward families, and being family oriented.

Cool name, you need to see JohN Woo's Red Cliff parts 1 & 2. IMHO, moreso a movie adaptation of Dynasty Warriors than the original source book Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Great film... again IMHO if you are a fan of that period and of the classic novel.

Sudden Adult Death Syndrome? Sounds pretty lethal. I can imagine myself eating a bowl of cereal, talking to my wife, and then suddenly die and smash my face into my corn flakes.

I dunno if this is what it means by sudden adult death syndrome, but every 5 years or so from when you mature into an adult (roughly age 15 onwards) your heart actually stops, and restarts itself. If your brain doesnt send the signal to your heart to restart, you drop dead suddenly, for no apparent reason. Short of having a set of electrical paddles next to you every second of your life (and someone to operate em ), there's not much you can do to escape it. If it's gonna happen, it happens. It is very rare though so dont start crying children.

Carouselambra's condolences. What can you say. A death is never an easy thing to deal with.

So everyone above age 15 has died multiple times?
      • 0
        carouselambra Apr 30, 09
Who told me that? I resent that man, I'm not a parrot. It's something I picked up from my school days. I couldnt tell you anymore than that, I didnt study medicine any further. If you're interested, study it; maybe you'll find something that proves or disproves it. But the possibility remains, regardless, that THIS could have been the cause. That's all I'm saying.

Thats grossly over-simplifying it man flippy; you havent died multiple times; because otherwise you wouldnt be alive dude It's just like taking a breather

Google it or something if you want proof, maybe there's a medical study or something. Carouselambra is not a doctor. Not anymore If that coma patient didnt want his leg amputated he should have woke up and said something I think it's something to do with "sudden cardiac arrest"; this is just a theory that tries to explain it; but because of the nature of dropping dead suddenly for no reason, it's gonna be pretty difficult to pin down a reason. The point being, anything can happen. That's something to worry about of course; but not TOO much not to the point where it makes you ill.

I've "heard" this before also. But I've never heard any proof of it, it's kinda like one of those . . . well, rumours that people say.

Not sure if their is proof or not, but I doubt it.
