Since the release of the Beta for Halo 3, it was inevitable that Hackers were eventually going to have their way with it. Well this time, instead of cursing hackers to the very core of their existence, I'm praising them.

The new gametypes include new types of practically every gametype that existed in previous Halo's. There is also evidence of new vehicles in the source link here, including a video from their findings and a list of all the new finds they made.

''New equipment:
Instacover
Smoke (suggested this might be a smoke grenade?)
Jammer

New vehicles:
Chopper
Pelican
Shadow

New weapons:
Flamethrower
Claymore Grenade

New mode:
Infection (described as "Destroy the Flood or become infected. Score points for killing flood or big points for infecting a human. The player with the most points wins.")

New rankings:
The highest rankings are now Killpocalypse and Killionaire, instead of Double Kill and Triple Kill.''

Flamethrower? I thought that was just a rumor. Is this really confirmed? I'm unable to watch the video right now.

The video shows their hacked menu with the new gametypes and map. So I'm leaning towards that meaning that we're gonna get to play all of those games plus the new map [Last Resort/Zanzibar] at some stage during the BETA, otherwise it wouldn't be in there.

If all this is true, then I'm guessing the other info from their source wouldn't be fake, so I'd believe it until Bungie tells us otherwise.

If this is all true then it sounds great. I guess I'm just too skeptical over some info found by hackers during a beta release.

I'll have to wait to see the finished product I guess.

Despite it showing up in the beta code, I really hope it's something that Bungie originally considered, but took out in the end result. Come on, "Instacover" ? Sounds like the same concept as the Bubble Shield: something that provides instant protection.
