Electronic Theatre reports on the announcement of a release date for the second NintendoDS "Mama" title, Gardening Mama, published by 505 Games and developed by Cooking Mama Ltd.

In Gardening Mama, players must dig soil, plant seeds and harvest crops to turn their simple plots into a garden paradise. Strong performance unlocks rare plants, fruits and vegetables, as well as ornamental objects such as swings, benches, flower pots and garden gnomes for decoration. There are over 28 different plants to unlock and grow with a host of fun and accessible mini-games and if that’s not enough there is even wireless multiplayer for up to 4 players.

Some of these DS games are a little over the top...and I'm being modest when I say little. Last week at GameStop, I saw a title that's to help people quit smoking on the DS. Like wow, lol.

My mate bought that! Here in the UK, the guy that did it is quite famous for helping you quit smoking...

Haha wow, would like to know if that helps them. Seems like an interesting concept, but how would one...game to quit? It's rather confusing, heh.

God dammit, when will we get HARDCORE GAMES ON THE DS!?

So far, the new zelda is all I have to look forward to, that and KH2.5

You must have missed GTA: Chinatown Wars released a few weeks back? That's pretty hardcore. Don't know if you're into Fire Emblem, Drago, but Shadow Dragon (remake of the first game), is decent as well.

And of course, for the Poke-love, there's Platinum. Not a bad list for early '09.

meh, Pokemon I don't see as Hardcore anymore. everyone and their mother is playing it. I don't feel hardcore when I pit my Lv100 Charizard against a Little girl's lv100 Mewtwo(EV trained and everything!?)

! Point taken. Hm, I'd also recommend Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, but that came out last year. :S
