Electronic Theatre reports on the announcement of a Silent Hill remake, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, headed towards Wii, PlayStation2 and PlayStation Portable later this year.

Konami have announced they are to bring the renowned Silent Hill series to Wii as Silent Hill: Shattered Memories heads to the Nintendo system for the first time in Autumn. The game, a clever reimagining of the now out of print first Silent Hill title, will also be released for PlayStation Portable and PlayStation2 at the same time.

    i only hope they dont change the mood of the original

    the atmosphere of silent hill was scary, spooky and dowright disturbing all at the same time

    Kick ass! With the REmake and RE0 hitting the Wii later this year, its starting to look like the Wii is finally becoming more than a "family system". This is now on my "want list".

    Also its really good that they're doing this because SH1 won't work on my PS3...well it does but with that annoying sound.
