Last week, Japanese RPG developer tri-Ace teased a new RPG announcement. While the game's teaser site still displays a countdown, an early ad leak from this week's issue of Weekly Famitsu displays the game's title and publisher. The game's title is End of Eternity, and shockingly, will be published by Sega, not Square Enix.

The website shown on the ad, EoE.sega.jp, redirects to tri-Ace's new RPG site, with the countdown set to expire this Friday.

PS3 and 360 eh? Unexpected but duly welcomed.

Weird that the scan is from a Wii based site when the game is for PS3 and 360. =/

Anyways, I'm disappointed it's not VP3 but to be fair I wasn't expecting that anyways. Hopefully it's a quality title.

Well, tri-Ace is a pretty good developer; I think we'll see a decent game out of this.

      What's VP3, if I may ask?

Valkyrie Profile 3. VP2 was their last really good game (terribly underrated, by the way), and I'd expect much of the same from VP3. Unfortunately they haven't really been the best at making genuinely new titles so we'll see how this plays out.

Well it has some pretty good art direction from what I've seen from these pics; hopefully the final game might reflect the same creativity.

creamsugar from Wii @ Everyday pretty much grabs whatever scans he can find from 2channel or wherever else and posts them, regardless of platform.

Hmmm so it's just a namesake then, I suppose.

Well, it used to be more Wii-focused, but now it's just mostly Famitsu news.

Fair enough. I thought something was up with a Wii-oriented site producing news on a 360/PS3 game, but if it's primarily Famitsu news it makes a lot more sense.

Lots of scans are now available for the game, over at Wii at Everyday.

Hmm . . . I'm not too into RPG games, especially japanese games. I've recently become increasingly interested in RPG games. But none of them turn out to be my tastes. Being that all I know is the title it seems . . . I'm VERY interested in the game. I really hope that it turns out to be my type of game. I could really use a good RPG game to play

Well I guess we'll see if this in any good. Star Ocean IV had a fair few flaws didn't it?

not published by SE? Cool, perhaps this time it won't be rushed like IU.

    you go, Tri-Ace.

    Wait... random battles?

Setting reminds me of Edge from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

The industrial/fantasy look does inspire comparisons to FFVII, though being a Tri-Ace title we can hopefully look forward to attention to detail with fun gameplay. Multiplatform too, so it appears Sega really want their bases covered with this one.

This looks too conventional to the whole genre to get me interested anymore...

If Tri-Ace just released a game, isn't it a bit early to be announcing a new one? Because if they just started working on it, then it'll be years before it's released, won't it?

      no.

Big games companies always have multiple games in development, each with their own dev team.

This game is already 60% complete.
