Electronic Theatre reports on the agreement that had been reached to launch The Beatles: Rock Band in association with a collection of Greatest Hits and Re-Mastered CDs.

Apple Corps Ltd. and EMI Music are delighted to announce the release of the original Beatles catalogue, which has been digitally re-mastered for the first time, for worldwide CD release on Wednesday, September 9th, 2009, the same date as the release of the widely anticipated The Beatles: Rock Band videogame. Each of the CDs is packaged with replicated original UK album art, including expanded booklets containing original and newly written liner notes and rare photos. For a limited period, each CD will also be embedded with a brief documentary film about the album. On the same date, two new Beatles boxed CD collections will also be released.

I knew the date already but damn, where is the track list? Release 5...3...anything. I'm sure "Back In The USSR" "Eight Days A Week" and "Hard Days Night" are a shoe-in, but I'd like a little something to wet my whistle.

They should add Beatallica songs on here, they are an awesome band that combinds both The Beatles and Metallica.

However I don't see this game doing very well to be honest.

The Beatles are one of the highest selling and most popular bands in the world, I don't see how it couldn't sell well tbh.

I know they are big but I just don't see many of todays people buying it.

You'd be surprised. They are probably the most important band in Rock and Roll history. Everyone has listened to them, knows them, and I'm sure most of them like em too. Couple that with the hordes of people who worship Rock Band (like me) and you've got a Golden Goose of a game.

And how would adding Beatallica make it better? I fail to see the logic. A Metallica Rock Band? *bleep* yeah, but no Beatallica...

    Welcome to last month lol

A month and a few days to be exact. I'm surprised this wasn't already submitted to grep. The RockBand.com link mentioned the worldwide simultaneous release as well as pricing.
