Amazon starts up a digital download store for Xbox Live. Customers can download games in which the receive a redemption code that is entered into the console to initiate the download. Will Sony and Nintendo follow suit?

Today Amazon launched its Xbox Live Store, allowing users to buy Xbox Live Arcade games and other Xbox Live products as downloads. Users will purchase the games for cash (not MS points) and they will receive a download code which they will use on their console to download the content. You can also gift the content to a friend and they will recieve the code through email.
