Electronic Theatre offers details direct from SEGA on the release date, price and gameplay details of the downloadable content heading to Valkyria Chronicles.

Valkyria Chronicles is set in a fictitious continent reminiscent of 1930’s Europe. Divided in two and ruled by the Empire and the Federation, the Empire has set its sights on invading a small neutral country called Gallia, which is situated in the middle of the two great empires. The game follows a hero named Welkin and his fellow soldiers of Gallian civilian militia’s 7th Platoon who are fighting against the Empire. The Empire is intent on unifying the continent under its power, but Gallia discovers that the Empire possesses a secret weapon, known as the “Valkyria”- an ancient race with special powers thought to exist only in legends. With this new discovery, the fate of Gallia’s ability to win the war and a hope for a better future hangs in the balance.

Ouch, I guess the notion of trophies/achievements still hasn't sunk into the minds of Sega. The new missions sound interesting though; Edy is (usually) worth the trouble

I've been holding off on picking the game up because of the trophy rumors.....guess I will have to bite the bullet and just pick it up.

I'm currently playing my way through the game, and I'm loving every moment of it. I'm not sure if I'll get any of the extra content though. Maybe if I'm just dying to play some more missions, I guess.

It's a quality RPG, that much I know; has topped just about every other RPG this generation, not counting FO3, as it is a little unorthodox for an RPG.

Good to see continued support for good titles.
