It looks like Silent Hill fans might see a sequel to the first movie after all. Actress Radha Mitchell - who starred in the original Silent Hill - recently said: "I don’t know what’s going on with that (sequel). I think they’re kicking it around". So while nothing has been confirmed, it seems the idea hasn't been completely forgotten about.

If a sequel is indeed in the works, it looks like Silent Hill fanatic, Christophe Gans, will not be directing this time around.

When asked about any plans for a SILENT HILL sequel, the actress [Radha Mitchell] told press, “I don’t know what’s going on with that. I think they’re kicking it around.”

Christophe Gans, who directed the first film adaptation of the popular video game series, probably won’t return for the sequel. “I don’t think Christophe is attached,” said Mitchell. “[That] is a shame because he’s a nutter but he’s so passionate about the game. I think he should do it if they do it again."

If a SILENT HILL sequel does happen, Mitchell hopes to make a cameo, possibly as one of the HILL ghouls. “I’m sure they will [do a sequel] but I’m not sure what incarnation it will be. If there is I want to come back as a monster or like some crazy creature.”
