Killzone 2 is finally getting some DLC with a total of 2 new maps for the first round, and some "retro" maps teased for the second round. This is great news for Killzone fans because we need some more maps.

So the first announcement of DLC has been confirmed through an interview with Gametrailers TV. The guys at Guerilla understand that developing a FPS nowadays, there has to be DLC to keep people interested. Adding to the eight maps already available is a must since eight is a relatively small number already. The first of the two announced will be available by the end of April

New maps are all well and good, but i'd prefer more ranks. It's too easy to reach top rank + new game modes as well please.

Ranks and such may come with it, this was only announced on a podcast. A more detailed report will likely come later.

The maps do sound very clever though, not bad.

I agree, Ranking up was too short!

This DLC might get me playing the game again.

Co-op mode. That's what they need. I don't care how they pull the technology out to accomplish it, but I think they need it.

Yeah, I think so also, I just hope the environment doesn't overplay itself. I would hate to constantly have to worry about that...along with 16 players shooting at me

But that's the beauty of the level. Besides, if it's too much to think about, there are still all of the other levels available for you to play.

The current maps are fine, they need to add more game-modes and ranks if they really want to compete with CoD4

More maps the better. I'd like to see some character customisation even if its just minor mods like camo, insignia, kit etc.
