UGO Exclusive: Batman Arkham Asylum - New video + BANE REVEALED!

This is a game that is high on my wish list - a true Batman game that combines detective work with hand-to-hand combat. The voice actor list is a Batman fanboy's dream come true, and thankfully with no movie license to worry about, the developers were free to deliver the goods that (so far) looks to be shaping up to be the best Batman game EVA!

Batman: Arkham Asylum continues to look like the best Batman game we've ever seen, and this video is no exception. Consider, if you will, the fact that these cutscenes are all done in-engine and aren't pre-rendered.

Drooling aside, we're getting our first look at Batman favorite, Bane, a drug-enhanced brawler who has managed to break the Dark Knight's back. Behold his kick ass intro in the game:

      Even better, we are getting the "smart master criminal" Bane, and not the moronic monstrocity some paint him as (or seen in Batman and Robin)

        Well, its nearly impossible to say which version of Bane we are getting exactly. Although, we can almost certainly Bane in this game to be NOTHING like the one found in Batman and Robin. That was just a disaster.

        However, I'm hoping for a little "cat and mouse" with Bane in B:AA, and not just an all-out brawl. Bane has a genius-leve intellect and is a great detective himself. Hell, in the comics, he was able to figure out Batman's idenity just by watching his movements.

        As for the video; It's great. Really shows off the imposing size of Bane in the game, and his voice sounds wonderful.

    I'm still wanting to like this game so much, especially the more news I hear about it. It's just . . . I can't get my hopes up about it. Something about past batman games I guess, I don't know. I really hope it's a great one though!
