The Ready-Up team have finally set a new world gaming record for the longest run playing a racing game. They did it for 24 hours at the Esc Gaming centre, for the fun of it and for the GamesAid charity. They used Burnout Paradise and used the Jasper Xbox 360 consoles to play the game.

After a long and hard 24 hours, the Ready-Up gaming team has set a new world record in the Guinness World Records 2010 Gamer Edition. The record set was the “Longest Marathon Playing a Driving Game record” which is now in the books at 24 hours.

This doesn't seem that impressive? I'm sure any one of us could sit in front of our tv playing a free drive game like burnout paradise for 24 hours or longer. All we need is the motivation.

Well I don't like racing games enough to do that but I did that with one of the X-Men Legends games.

This reminds me of that Korean guy that spent so long playing either Starcraft or WoW at the computer that he forgot to eat and poop, thus causing his death. If anybody has as much dedication as that guy and actually finds Racing games enjoyable (haha, wow), they'd easily be able to smash this so-called "record".

24 hours? Friggen pathetic for a world record IMO.

Hell, I'm sure there are people, even on this site, that have gamed around or above 24 hours on this game, unofficially, in a single go, too.

Really? There are people on this site who would play a racing game for 24 hours straight, for no real reason?

      This site is weird.

People who love the game? Yes sir.

For example, I'm hardly a hardcore gamer or anything, but I played one game for over 8 hours in a row nearly (got drink/pissed a few times).

Also considering extreme MMO players, people have died in their chairs because they played for several days straight...

On GT4, there were several races that were 24 hours in length.

Ok, Burnout paradise isn't worth driving around in circles for 24 hours to get a world record.

Try playing Need for speed most wanted with the freakin' cops on your back and keep them on your bac for 24 hours straight. Then come to me and say "LOL WORLD RECORDZ"
